MODULE 2: HOW DOES SUSTELLING WORK?

THE “CLEVER” CASE STUDY: RESEARCH II

Anna now goes one step further. She wants to know how the individual articles were received by readers, viewers and viewers. She scrolls through the numerous comments and ratings on the posts. She also discovers a few findings from researchers who have looked at the effects of storytelling with the help of larger surveys. After looking into the research a bit, she realizes that there are a variety of different effects that storytelling article can have on an audience. To aid her memory, Anna creates a table in which she categorizes the effects and examples. Afterwards, Anna takes a closer look at the comments of the individual users of the posts and tries to assign them to the effect categories. She notices that some of the comments address similar effects, such as “triggering feelings” or “understanding connections better.”
